Here is a sample of some of the activities conducted by Friends of Edwards Point over the past couple of years.
2-4 September 2011
Four committee members attended the Victorian Environment Friends Network 14th Biennial Conference at Campaspe Downs, near Kyneton. A committee member was one of two recipients of a Best Friends award for 2011 for her work at Edwards Point over the past 25 years.
April 2011
Social Day at Edwards Point with Parks Victoria staff and FOEP committee - guided walks, followed by a sausage sizzle. Over 35 people attended.
November 2010
Two of our members attended the Moolapio Grasslands Restoration day at Point Henry, which showcased what Greening Australia and Alcoa have achieved to re-establish native grasses and wildflowers on land previously used for agriculture.

Working bee at Western Block, with removal of carpet weed, fig tree and apple tree.

Walk for members at Edwards Point, followed by morning tea at the St Leonards Yacht Club.

Edwards Point volunteers staffed the Landcare trailer at the St Leonards summer market every weekend.

Moonah Woodlands survey. Several FOEP members attended the Bellarine Catchment Network Coastal Forum over 2 days at Camp Wyuna, Queenscliff.
Nov 2009
Friends of Edwards Point staffed the Landcare Trailer at St Leonards Community Festival. Numerous seed collecting trips. Volunteers constructed new track in the Western Block, coordinated by Parks Victoria.
Oct 2009
Over 20 members took a day trip to Serendip Sanctuary, Lara & to Werribee Park, sponsored by Parks Victoria.
Sept 2009
Direct seeding. Completed 3 government funded surveys on Moonah woodlands.
